Got a call from a guy claiming he was from BT, saying my internet was running slow. He mentioned they were calling people one by one to check performance. To convince me he was legit, he told me he’d sent an email to my BT account and told me to have a look on my computer, but I just ended the call. Turns out these scammers hack into your BT email, use the 'Forgot Password' option which sends a real BT email with a pin, then ask you to read the code out loud so they can access your BT account, lock you out and potentially steal your bank info. Be warned!
