I got a rather dodgy text from this number claiming I was entitled to a tax refund from HMRC. They went on to request my full name, postcode, home address, and even my bank account information! Upon investigating, I realised this is definitely not an official number linked to HMRC. I wisely refrained from sharing any of my details, suspecting it’s a fraudster attempting to swipe my bank info and drain my account. It’s vital to stay alert with these scams!
