Got a text from this number saying it’s the DVSA with a final warning about an unpaid fine. It said if I don’t pay today, they’ll ban my car from the road and pass my parking ticket to court. There was a link to sort it out, but I haven’t got any parking fines at all! Totally looks like a scam to me - not clicking that link, no way!

This scam is actually highlighted on the DVSA site, so be aware. If you want the police to properly look into the links, you must send them these messages. It's really crucial they receive them. On the Action Fraud website, specifically their phishing section, they instruct you to forward the suspicious text to 7726, plus send either a screenshot or a copied version to '[email protected]'. Make sure you visit the police site for exact directions on reporting scam texts, suspicious calls, and emails.
