I attempted to report this number to BT but it just told me the number was invalid. The caller claimed they were from BT and even emailed me twice with what looked like official messages while we were still talking on the phone. They said there was an engineer upgrading my landline to full fibre. Before they could explain what I needed to do, I told them it sounded like a scam and ended the call. There were definitely no engineers around my area when I got the call, and I can actually see the main BT box from my window.
