I got a call from someone with an Asian accent who said they were from BT. They said there was some maintenance going on and mentioned there had been a few complaints about slow broadband. They asked me to log into my computer and run a speed test. When I questioned why they couldn't just check the speed themselves, they suddenly ended the call. Later, I looked the number up on the ‘who calls me’ website and saw it was listed as a Vodafone line, which doesn't make sense for someone claiming to be from BT.
