Got a text that simply said "hello". Didn't bother replying and straight away blocked the number. Sounds to me like a trick scammers use to spot which numbers are active and willing to respond. Once they have that info, they probably sell those numbers to other scammers, which means more scam calls or messages after you reply. Best not to engage. Keep your guard up and be careful out there.
