Got a dodgy text pretending to be from one of my kids saying "Hey mum, this is my new number, just upgraded so please save it xxx". I know for a fact my kids wouldn't go and change their number without telling me properly. Definitely a scam.

Got a call claiming to be from Openreach saying they'd disconnect my landline. I quickly realised it was dodgy, so I told them to go ahead since I don't even use my landline. Properly irritating!

Got a call saying it was BT, that my internet was hacked or something. Then they told me to press all sorts of buttons and download apps. Ended up pushing me to make a payment or send money. Absolute scumbags preying on folks who don’t know better... proper dodgy stuff.

Got a call bright and early Friday at 8 am, and then they rang again Saturday around 9 am. Pretty annoying to say the least. Good thing I figured out it was some kind of scam before getting tricked.

This number now seems to be associated with EE. They called but didn’t bother leaving a message. I’ve attempted to return the call several times, but it's always met with silence. Their voicemail is packed to the brim, and I've even dropped them a text to check if they were trying to reach me, yet no response has come my way. It's all rather suspicious, if you ask me!

Got a call from 07739687463 but didn’t pick up since my phone flagged it as possible fraud. After seeing the comments, I’m glad I ignored it. They didn’t bother leaving a voicemail either.

I received a call today from a woman claiming to be affiliated with Openreach, saying my broadband was under some sort of attack. It’s all a load of nonsense, if you ask me.

It appears there's a bit of a hiccup with my internet connection… Quite unfortunate that some individuals choose to deceive hard-working folk rather than seeking legitimate employment!

Oh, that’s given me quite the chuckle! I really ought to give that a go myself. It has the makings of a brilliant skit for television!

I received a call from someone purporting to be from Openreach, claiming that my internet connection was sluggish. The chap had an Asian accent and introduced himself as Jack. I decided to keep him chatting for a bit before I eventually let him know that I’m not even a BT customer! 😂

I received a call purporting to be from Openreach. A woman with an accent asked if I’d shared my broadband password with anyone, as it seemed someone was attempting to get into my account. Honestly, it was such a ridiculous situation that I ended the conversation right there!

I received a call from an Asian gentleman claiming to represent BT, insisting that my internet had been breached by a hacker operating from the US. The way he spoke was quite persuasive, and the background din made it sound very much like a call centre environment. He nearly caught me off guard, but thankfully, I had the presence of mind to recognise the ruse before it was too late. He attempted to trick me into downloading some security applications, which unbeknownst to me, were actually meant to grant him access to my iPad. I urge everyone to stay vigilant!

They surely rake in a tidy sum preying on unsuspecting folk, those unscrupulous blighters.

I rang up to ask why my payments keep going missing, cause they charge way too much for a couple of channels that honestly aren’t that great and I barely watch ’em anyway.

Ignore that number, it’s just a tax scam trying to pass off as HMRC. Trust me, they wouldn’t ever handle things this way. Don’t call back or share any details or contacts with them. Total scammers!!!

So this woman claimed she worked for Openreach and wanted me to link up to Google to "explain the issue" I was having. Of course, I wasn’t falling for that!

Received a call purportedly from Openreach, insisting that my internet connection was compromised by viruses. They wanted me to launch Google while connected to my broadband. Once they clocked on to the fact that I was merely agreeing with them without taking any action, they abruptly ended the call. Quite the cheeky tactic!
