I got a call claiming it was from my bank's security team - total scam!

So this bloke from India rings me up saying he’s from Virgin Media, telling me my internet or broadband was acting up or something. He didn’t ask for any passwords or personal info, which I thought was a bit odd. Funny enough, I’d only just checked my broadband and Wi-Fi status like 5 minutes before his call - everything was working perfectly. I’d even had a technician sort out my TiVo earlier, and the guy on the phone to Virgin confirmed all was well. When I told the caller this, he just went quiet and then hung up on me. A proper Virgin Media employee would never do that!
