I got two phone calls where the person claimed to be from BT Openreach, saying my broadband had some kind of ‘infection’. They wanted me to sit by my computer so they could guide me through fixing it. I told them to do one, and then they swore back at me before hanging up. Ended up getting four calls over just a couple of days!

got a call from a woman claiming she was with bt openreach, said my internet was infected by some virus from russia and there was an error alert. she told me to get on my pc so she could guide me through fixing it. when i asked her how she knew she was really from bt, she just ended the call.

I keep getting calls from scammers and it honestly seems like most of them are Asian. It's really frustrating because they just don't seem to care about doing anything right.

Got a call from a bloke with an asian accent asking for someone who doesn't live here, then the line went dead real quick. Pretty weird!

Got a call from a bloke with a strong Indian accent who said he was with BT. Pretty clear it was a scam right from the off. When I told him I knew he was spamming me, he started getting really rude, then just hung up. I’ve since reported the whole thing to Action Fraud.

Just got a call on our home phone from 07738912372 around 3:38 pm today. The bloke sounded Indian and claimed he was ringing from BT about our internet connection. We don’t even have BT internet though, so my partner just told him goodbye and ended the call straight away.
