Got a voicemail claiming HMRC had a letter sent back to them about some case against me, and I was told to press one to get in touch with someone. I did press one, and someone picked up. They asked me for a reference number, which I didn't have, so they said they'd look it up. Then they told me there was a case against me for tax evasion. This sounds like total rubbish! HMRC would never reach out like this!
