Got a call from a bloke with a posh voice saying he was from the Inland Revenue, telling me there was some fraud case with my name on it. He warned me that if I didn’t reply, they’d issue a warrant against me. Inland Revenue ringing me up on a Saturday? Seemed a bit fishy straight away. Definitely one of those scams, but I can see how the serious tone might trick some people. Looks like today’s my unlucky day for dodgy calls - maybe my number’s been added to some scammer list. Even worse, it’s my mobile, which just makes it more irritating.
