Got a call earlier claiming to be from Visa. Apparently, there were two charges on my account today - £99 for Amazon and £1,900 which I’ve never seen before. They asked me to press 1 to approve or 2 to cancel and speak to someone. I hit 2 and got through to a call centre with a very strong Indian accent. The guy said his name was Alex and asked how he could assist me. Then he said I was the one who called them. Pretty sure it’s a scam because he just hung up on me.

They said it was Barclays that called but my mum doesn’t even have a Visa or an account with Barclays. Very strange!
