Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT's tech team but the moment I answered, they just ended the call. Pretty clear it was a spam number.

It's quite worrying that they've got hold of my name, address, and postcode. When I said I was passing her on to the police this time, she just hung up. Seriously, something needs to be done about these calls, especially to protect vulnerable people.

Got one of those typical Amazon scam calls today. A pre-recorded message saying there was some huge charge on my Amazon account. Since 07736 is a mobile prefix, seems very unlikely Amazon would be calling from a mobile and leaving automated messages like that. It's just a trick to scare you into giving away your bank or card details. Best thing to do is just ignore it and block the number straight away.
