Got a call from someone saying they were from a bank, but when I asked which one, they couldn’t give me a straight answer and just started guessing. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me.

Got a call from someone claiming to be British Gas, my old energy provider. They asked which company I was with now and if I pay by direct debit. I told them the name of my current provider and confirmed I do pay by DD, but I didn’t share any bank info. I rang British Gas afterwards and they denied making the call.

Got a call saying my internet would be cut off soon and asked if I was close to my computer.

Got a call that sounded just like one of those long distance scams, said they were from the BT tech team. I didn’t hang on long enough to see what their game was.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from British Gas, but it was from a mobile number. He already knew my address and tried to get me to confirm details about my gas and electricity setup with Scottish Power and British Gas. I told him I wasn’t comfortable confirming anything, and then he just ended the call.

This number kept ringing me like 3 times every day but never picked up. When I tried to return the call, it said the number was invalid or something. Totally blocked it now.

Got a ring earlier from this number, woman with a weird accent said she was from British Gas. Sounded dodgy straight away. When I told her I'd already spoke to British Gas yesterday and gave her my full details including name and address, and told her I’m on a prepay meter, she hung up quick sharp. Pretty sure it was a scam attempt! 😂

Got called at least half a dozen times over the last couple days, didn’t pick up any though. So, no clue who was trying to reach me.

Got called again by someone saying they were from British Gas with a really upbeat voice, sounded more Indian or Pakistani than anything British. Definitely not British Gas though. Honestly, the UK telecom rules need sorting because it’s way too simple for these dodgy firms to get hold of phone numbers.

They claimed to be from British Gas but it was a total lie. Definitely not who they said they were.

They ring me 2 or 3 times daily but as soon as I pick up, they just cut off straight away!

I answered the phone and said hello, but they just hung up on me straight away. Then they called back later and when I picked up, I stayed silent, and they ended the call on their end once more.

This number keeps ringing me saying they're from my gas provider. I've told them loads of times already but they won't listen. I don't even get gas at my place! So annoying 😡😡
