Got a txt from this number saying “hmrc, it looks like you’ve got a rebate waiting” - obvious scam! Blocked it straight away and wiped the message.

got a text the other day pretending to be from hmrc saying i had some kind of rebate waiting for me. they even sent a link to check it out. i used to be employed by hmrc so i could tell straight away it was dodgy. definitely a scam!

Got a message from 07737748929 saying it was hmrc about some kinda rebate I’m supposed to get. It had a link to check out the claim (#Jukgov calculate(###] or something. Sounded dodgy to me cos it asked for loads of personal stuff like passwords and bank details, so watch out and don’t click on it!

Got a text a short while ago about some kind of tax rebate. Blocked the number straight away now.

Received a message saying it was from HMRC about a tax refund I supposedly have waiting. It asked me to click on a link to figure out how much I could claim back. Felt a bit dodgy to me, so I didn’t bother clicking it. Sounds like a classic scam to me!
