Got a call from someone claiming my National Insurance number was going to be cancelled because of some dodgy activities linked to it. They said if I didn’t cough up a one-time fine immediately, I’d be facing prosecution. I played along for a bit before telling them I worked at the National Fraud Agency and that they were tracking the number (totally made it up). Right after that, the call just cut off. Still chuckling about it now!
