Here we go again with yet another of those blasted automated calls! It's the same old song-pick up the phone, hear that irritating electronic sound, followed by an awkward silence, and then, lo and behold, someone mentions my name. At this point, I’m ready to cut the call. I've had my fair share of these interruptions, mostly from dodgy debt management firms pretending they're backed by the Government. Then there are the ones warning me about so-called fraudulent activity linked to my National Insurance number. It’s like a never-ending cycle! I block each number, only for them to ring in from yet another one. Even being registered with the Telephone Preference Service hasn’t stopped them; I've had a staggering 40 calls since April began. Ridiculous, isn’t it?
