Got a call bright and early around 9 in the morning on Wednesday the 19th of August, 2026, from a Wrexham number. The person said his name was ‘Alex’ and claimed to be from BT, going on about some supposed issues with my internet connection. Honestly, didn’t really sound like an Alex to me. I sussed out pretty quickly this was yet another scam call, so I decided to mess with him a bit. That didn’t go down well - he ended up shouting at me before abruptly hanging up. Definitely don’t think this was a genuine BT agent.
