This number rang me on my mobile at about 8 in the morning. As soon as I picked up, a robotic voice began a lengthy spiel claiming my National Insurance had been hacked. The tone was clearly meant to frighten you, urging me to press 1 immediately to talk to an agent. I just ended the call straight away. Surely the tax office wouldn’t use a mechanical recording for something as critical as NI details being at risk. I'm convinced it’s a scam, which is why I flagged it as suspicious.
