So this guy called Adam rang up about a house supposedly for rent, saying it was first come first served with a deposit needed. My daughter went to see it, but it turned out someone was already living there and it wasn’t even available. Now Adam’s gone quiet and the ad has vanished from Gumtree. Just curious if anyone else got caught out by this and ended up paying the £500 deposit? How many folks fell for this?
