I got a call from a number I didn't recognise, a guy claiming to be from Bank of Scotland. He said he wanted to talk about a purchase I apparently left incomplete the day before. At some point, he had me tap on some buttons, which switched the call from just audio to a video call on my phone. Then he asked me to check the balances on a few of my other accounts, looking for any dodgy transactions. Suddenly, the line cut off and that's when I realised it was a clever scam to grab info about my accounts. After that, I had to contact all my banks, freeze everything, and order replacement cards.
