Said I changed my number to my mum... total scam!

Got a text from 447761091310 saying, “Hi mum, I've got a new phone number now, it’s 07732520397. Could you WhatsApp me on that number?” There was also a link included: https://wa[.]me/07732520397[.] Seems a bit off to me.

Got a text from this number today, with someone calling me 'mum' and saying it was their new contact. I replied asking who it was. They said they were my eldest. When I asked for a name, they ignored me. Checked with my kids and none of them changed their number or sent that message. I’ve since reported it and blocked the number.
