This number rang me saying they were from HMRC. The moment I heard that, I ended the call straight away. I've watched loads of videos about these scams on YouTube, so I'm careful. I actually have an account on the HMRC website and they already have my phone number and how I like to be contacted, so I didn’t bother listening to what they said.

The first couple of calls I just ignored, but when I finally picked up the third time, I was met with an automated voice.

I got a call from 07731998619 at about 2.25pm today on my mobile. They left a message saying my insurance details were involved in some dodgy stuff near the Welsh border and that I needed to get in touch with a legal investigator urgently or there’d be legal trouble. Sounds like a scam to me, so I’ve just blocked the number.

Got a call from this number and they said something that came across as rude, but I reckon it must have been an automated message, just unlucky timing. I’ll block it anyway since it’s obviously just a cold call.
