Just to follow up on my earlier post from over an hour ago starting with ‘Suspect scam’: I’ve gone through all my bank accounts - one of which is in the US - and there’s nothing unusual or unauthorised showing up. Looks like it’s definitely a scam. Would recommend blocking this number straight away.

Pretty sure this was a con attempt. Got a recorded call with a woman’s voice, sounded British, saying it was from my bank though no name was mentioned. She said there were two suspicious transactions: one Amazon purchase for about £30 and a £1000 bank transfer. Then it told me to press 1 to get more info. Had similar calls before, and once I fell for it, so this time I just hung up without saying a word. I’ll check my accounts just to be safe, but I’m betting everything’s fine. If I spot anything odd, I’ll update here. I’ve flagged it as risky, but can’t say for sure 100%.
