This number has called me a few times, twice yesterday and once today, but as soon as I answered, they just hung up. Seems like spam to me. Do you reckon I should just block it?

My elderly mum answered a call from this number. She ended up saying her birthday out loud, but then told me she couldn’t really catch what the caller was on about, so she just ended the call. She mentioned it was a bloke with a "strange foreign accent" talking something about a refund. Seems like a scam to me - I’ve blocked the number straight away.

Got a call about some kind of PPI refund, they were talking about me getting around £2,500 back. They said they'd send a cheque but warned the bank might take up to half of it as a fee to cash it. I'd say don't get involved at all, definitely don't agree to anything they say.
