got an email on march 23 from this number, it came up as ‘hosted surevoip[###]’ and had ‘account 9995@123carfinance’ on it. my avast caught it as a virus and stopped it straight away.

Received an email today from some sender called surevoip, with a zip file attached. They said I had a voicemail from 07730881627. What’s weird is my email is @home.nl and I’m based in the Netherlands, so not sure how they got my address. Seems like spam to me. Watch out for these dodgy messages!

where i work, we got quite a few emails titled "voicemail from 07730881627 <07730881627> 00:00:24". some of the team accidentally opened them and our antivirus flagged a threat called 'js.downloaderlgen’5' in the attached file. we've since blocked both the email sender and about 94 IP addresses linked to these messages.

Had a call from a random number this morning too. Looks like they just grabbed some poor bloke’s mobile by chance. Never ever answer these unless you’re sure. If someone legit wanted to reach you, wouldn’t they ring your mobile or landline and leave a message instead?

That zip file looks dodgy, especially since the email associated with it doesn't seem real at all. I was curious about who might've sent it, but it feels risky. I wouldn’t risk sending spam messages back either, just in case.

this morning i got one too. honestly, i’d never open a zip unless i know exactly where it’s from & in this situation, i’ve never signed up for voip nor do i recognise that phone number at all.
