Just block these lot! They’re scammers who run a computer system that scans the net for phone numbers posted in places like social media or Gumtree. Then their call centre in India rings up those numbers to try and trick people with dodgy car accident stories and the like. They’ll ring you 3 times back to back, often using different numbers that look like UK ones but obviously aren’t. If your phone goes off right after you put your number online, don’t pick up - just block straight away!

When I picked up, there was nothing but silence. Could’ve been they pressed the wrong number, but they didn’t end the call. After a few moments, I just ended it myself.
