Just got a text from 07730424970 claiming to be one of my kids saying they lost their phone and cards, and that the cards have been frozen. The message said they’re ringing from a temp number now. It amazes me people still get fooled by these scams!

Got a weird text earlier saying something like, "Hi mum and dad, lost my phone and can’t find it anywhere. I’ve told my bank and insurance to block my card. I won’t be using my old number now, this one’s temporary. Please save it and contact me on WhatsApp quick thanks xxxx." Sounded a bit dodgy to me.
