Got a text earlier from this number saying “morning mum!” I thought it was my son at first. Then they sent another saying their phone got wet and the sim and speaker were broken, so I needed to save the new number. I wasn’t really sure what to say, so I asked if it really was my son, and they replied again with his name. I went ahead and blocked the number after that!

BEWARE! This is a TOTAL SCAM. Loads of folks have been tricked out of a lot of cash by these scams lately, especially this past September. The number of these dodgy calls and messages is going up fast, so don’t ever share your personal or bank info with anyone like this. If you get a suspicious call, text, or letter, report it to Action Fraud straight away. Also, making a post on your socials and asking mates to share really helps stop others from getting caught out. Thanks for helping stop this nonsense!
