this lot called me sayin they were from virgin media, knew about my router problems and even said id just given them my mobile number recently. clearly they had my info from virgin media itself. they got me to put this teamviewer thing on my pc then said id get a £200 rebate. after that, they wanted me to log into my bank so they could send the money over. but while i was doin that, they were watching everything i typed through the remote access. watch out for this scam!

total scam, just ignore the call. never tell them anything. they say they're from virgin media but actual vm would never ring out of the blue. they somehow know you’ve had problems with your internet or some vm service and try to trick info out of you. also got calls from 0121 628 1763, same scam. i’ve already reported both numbers to the cops.

Got a call from this number claiming to be Virgin Media, saying they needed to scan my broadband for spyware or something dodgy. I told them to ring me back on my landline and then phoned Virgin Media straight away. Definitely a scam, so watch out!
