I got a call from a recorded message saying it was from the 'National Insurance Office' - which doesn’t actually exist, it’d be either HMRC or DWP if anything. They claimed my NI number was at risk 'near the western border of Wales' - like, where’s that exactly? Out in the Irish Sea or what? They told me to press 1. Total nonsense, so I just ended the call.
