Got a robo call saying I needed to press 1 if I hadn’t authorised a £645 Visa card payment. I’ve had similar calls before so I was ready this time. There was background noise that sounded like a busy call centre. A guy with a foreign accent told me to open my online banking while he guided me through stopping the dodgy payment. I asked him what my name was, he got really annoyed and shouted at me to open the app. I asked again for my name, he shouted even louder and then just hung up on me.

Got a recorded call saying I should press 1 if I hadn’t authorised a £645 charge on my Visa card. Been through this before so I was ready. There was some background chatter like a call centre going on. I let a bloke with a foreign accent ramble on about needing to open my banking app to sort out a fake transaction. I asked him to tell me my name, but he got really annoyed and told me to open the app. When I asked again what my name was, he started yelling at me and then the call just ended.
