Absolute rip-off! The real fault for all these fake scam calls goes to those greedy firms that lease out phone numbers. You should really write to your MP about this mess.

I picked up and they just hung up straight away. Probably one of those annoying telemarketers.

Answered the call then they immediately ended it.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from 'BT' saying they were doing routine checks because my internet might be faulty. Took quite a bit of time before the caller actually seemed to understand what was going on, which made me suspect they were calling from overseas - the accent was a bit off, too. The call came from a mobile number, which I doubt a proper BT rep would do for these kinds of checks. When he asked if I was near my modem and I said I was at work, he suddenly ended the call super quick. Honestly, this didn’t come across as legit at all!
