I got a call saying there was some tax fraud on my record, and if I didn’t press 1 right away, they’d send a warrant and I’d be arrested. When I tried ringing the number back from my landline, it was just dead. Everyone knows these scams are around, but my worry is what happens if an elderly person or someone vulnerable picks up and believes it? It’s really worrying.
