So, my mum got a call from a mate's phone, but the battery was nearly dead, anyway, here’s my new number: 07994232708. Someone was pretending to be my daughter asking for over £1000 to be sent by bank transfer. I threw in a question about a relative with wrong details, something only my daughter would catch as wrong. I've now blocked all those numbers.

Scam alert! Got a message saying "Hey mum, I’m texting from a mate’s phone but it’s about to switch off, can you iMessage me on my new number 07756365362? Thanks x" - definitely dodgy!

Got a call from someone pretending to be Apple, but it was totally fake. Definitely a scam trying to trick people. Watch out!

Got a text saying my family was in some kind of trouble and needed money right away. Turned out to be a total scam, just some phishing nonsense trying to freak me out and get my details. Always be careful and double check before handing over any info!

I got a call from this number telling me my Apple Pay was blocked. I checked with Apple and they said it's a phishing scam, so be careful.

Got a message saying there was some weird stuff going on with my Apple Pay wallet and there was a link to click on to check it out. Thing is, I've never had an Apple phone or even used Apple wallet before. Also, I doubt they'd be texting from a regular mobile number, right? Seemed fishy to me.
