I got a call from this number for the first time, and surprisingly my go-to spam blocker didn’t pick it up. Maybe it’s because the number shows up as a personal line on who-calls.me.uk. The person on the other end claimed someone was trying to buy a £500 Apple phone through my Amazon account and asked if I wanted to confirm or cancel the purchase. I told them I’d verify directly with Amazon on their website, and then the call abruptly ended. There was a lot of background chatter, sounded a bit like a call centre.
