I got a text from my son saying he was really stressed out because he'd just got a new mobile and the bank wouldn’t release some money he was owed. He asked if we could lend him some cash for a couple of days, promising to repay within 2 or 3 days, but the amount was quite big, about £2,900. We told him we’d need to sort it out with the bank first. Then the person sent over bank account info under the name James Smith but it was obvious the details were fake. I blocked the number straight away. Such a pain! 😩
