Someone phoned me asking for me by name. I told them they must have the wrong number and then just ended the call.

Earlier today I got a missed call from this number while at work, so after finishing I looked it up online. Just as I was reading the reviews here, the same number rang me back. I picked up and a man with an Indian accent asked for me by name, but I couldn’t quite catch the company he was with. I nicely mentioned that my number is on the telephone preference service and that it’s illegal to be contacted like this. He then rudely told me to 'f##k off' and hung up.

This number rang me 4 times today, but I ignored it since my phone flagged it as "Spam or Scam". By the 4th ring I was fed up, so I picked up and instantly put it on speaker blasting some U2 through my stereo. Pretty sure they weren’t fans of the music, cos they hung up quick!

Got a call telling me I supposedly had a loan. I told them straight, “No chance! I’ve never taken out a loan, and the £20 my friend lent me when I forgot my card at home doesn’t count.” After that, they got really rude and started yelling abuse at me. So, like Will Ferrell in Semi-Pro, I said, “I’ll murder your family,” and hung up. It’s not quite the same as slamming the phone down, but it works to shut them up. I’ve blocked the number now.

Got a call from a bloke called Mike, claiming I took out a £1000 loan last Christmas - total rubbish. When I asked where he got my info, he just kept dodging the question. Told him I’d report it, and he just shot back, “And what can you do about it?” then ended the call. Proper dodgy.

This number called me and claimed I’d taken out a loan, saying they'd send me £1,000. They then said I needed to pay some fees to save on gas and electricity bills. They put me through to some company offering green gas and electric deals, promising a £92 yearly saving. I never received any £1,000, and now it looks like they’ve taken money from my bank account.

Got a call saying I'd been turned down for a loan, which isn't true, then they asked how much I wanted. I said £2.15 (because bacon sandwich day's tomorrow) and he said they could lend me exactly that, no extra charges and simple repayments. I said I'd pay it all back by tomorrow teatime after I hit the cash machine, but he didn’t seem to care much about that.

Some woman with a foreign accent rang up saying I’d been declined for a loan but she could sort it out. Total rubbish. I told her to remove me from their calls and stop spinning lies to folks. She got all defensive, insisting her info was spot on. Then she asked what I’d do if she could offer me a loan with no broker fees. By then I was fed up, so I just said nothing and hung up.

This bloke called me saying my loan was approved, but I never even applied for one. When I told him that, he started getting a bit impatient and asked why I didn’t want the money. I stayed calm and repeated that I hadn’t applied and didn’t want or need any loan, then asked him to take my number off their list. He then started shouting at me saying he’s holding a £5000 loan for me. I told him not to shout at me and nicely told him to go away in no uncertain terms, then ended the call.
