Got a call this morning at about 8:30 from 07725 241781 claiming to be from HMRC, saying I had unpaid taxes and could face legal trouble if I didn’t pay right away. To my knowledge, HMRC usually sends letters rather than making calls like this. The recording said to press 1 to talk to someone, which I did, then an Indian accent came on saying no one was free to talk. Feels like a total scam to me.
