Just got a dodgy text from 07516053779, claiming to be HSBC. Looks like another one of those scams trying to pull a fast one. Came through about 30 minutes ago.

Got a dodgy text earlier today here in Liverpool saying something about a new payee called MR C JONES being added to my HSBC account through mobile banking. It told me to click a link if I didn’t do it. Straight away I knew it was a scam.

Got two calls back to back from separate numbers, both repeating the same message about "Mr C Jones being added to your payers account". One of the numbers was +44771608059. Definitely a dodgy call, dont click any links they send!

Just got a text from this number saying 'HSBC: A new payee MR C JONES has been set up on your account via mobile banking. If you didn’t authorise this, go to: [scam website link]'. It’s obviously a scam, don’t follow the link!
