Got a bunch of dodgy texts that kept taking £13 straight off my O2 PAYG credit without me agreeing. I’d already blocked the numbers they used before, but these scam folks just switched to a different UK number and tried again. I had to set my O2 account to zero spending limit just to stop any more sneaky deductions. From what I’ve been told, O2 can’t really spot or block these payments themselves, which feels like pretty poor security. Setting the spend cap to nothing is honestly the only way to keep these scammers at bay.
