I had a rather dodgy phone call earlier; the individual on the other end was prattling on about some supposed debt collection being cancelled. It all seemed rather fishy, so I decided to end the conversation abruptly.

I got a call from 07723877189, but when I picked up, there was just silence on the other end. Lately, my phone’s been ringing non-stop with mobile numbers, and almost all of them turn out to be dodgy scams. So, I’m pretty sure this one’s on the same level.

That’s just another bloody scammer trying to take the mick.

This caller actually did that, then started yammering about cancelling some debt collection or whatever rubbish. I just told them to “buzz off” or something similar, then ended the call and blocked the number. It felt pretty nasty, especially since an elderly person might get really spooked by calls like this.
