Got a call from what they claimed was a health centre. First they were all about vaccines, then suddenly switched gears to insurance and life cover questions. Honestly, the accent seemed Indian, so I'd be wary of these sorts of calls. Seems a bit dodgy to me 🤨

On 29/4/25 around 6:49pm, I get a call from some bloke with an Indian accent. He wanted to talk to me, but luckily my partner picked up instead. When he asked what the call was about, the guy said it was some kind of debt. Well, let me tell you, my partner gave him a right earful back, just as rude as he was trying to be. Not a good one, just another dodgy scammer trying it on.

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent claiming to be with UK Healthcare or something like Healthcare UK. They asked about my experience with my GP and how I found their service. I just told them I wasn’t interested at all. Honestly, my GP isn’t great, but if I want to complain, I’d rather do it myself, no need for these sort of calls.

This number rang me the other day. The person claimed to be calling from a medical centre and started asking about my experience with the GP services. I mentioned I didn’t feel I was getting much help and that improvements were needed. Suddenly, they asked if I had any sort of life insurance, to which I replied I wasn't really sure. After that, the line just went dead. Honestly, it felt like a total scam. I played along just to see where it was going but I’ve blocked the number now. Would recommend you do the same.

Bloody scam call centre from India, ringing me over 10 times daily using loads of dodgy numbers. They switch stories - sometimes they say they’re from Public Health, other times from debt advice or even the British Medical Association. Pretty sure they nicked my info from a payday loan I did last week, cause the calls started straight away. Dunno how anyone falls for this rubbish, but guess they don’t care as long as they get paid. Luckily my phone’s now auto-blocking them since they’re flagged as spam, so these muppets are out of luck.

Then they asked if I was happy with my GP’s service and I accidentally said ‘Yes’ 😬. What’s the worst that could come of it, right? Tried calling back but no luck, obviously no answer 🙄🤷🏽‍♀️

Got a call from someone claiming they were with Aviva, saying my life insurance needed reviewing. I told them my financial advisor handles that stuff, and then they started calling me names for trusting my advisor, plus other rude comments. I refused to confirm any personal info, and they used data protection as an excuse not to give me my policy number. The bloke was really unpleasant and got annoyed when I questioned why they wouldn’t provide my details, ending the call abruptly.

When I said no, he told me they couldn’t access my records without that info. I told him Public Health has no right to my details and he hung up. Definitely a scam probably from some centre in India. Whenever you hear Public Health, just hang up straight away. Curious how they managed to get my number and name though.

I told them, "Quit ringing me 20 times daily, I'm at work," and their reply was just a load of swearing, calling me all sorts of rude names before slamming the phone down. It really got me upset and annoyed. I tried calling back to figure out who it was, but the line just dropped. I've blocked the number now. DO NOT PICK UP! This sort of behaviour would be really upsetting for older or vulnerable folks.

They scammed me out of cash and then had the nerve to say I owe them money! Proper dodgy bunch. Just block them straight away!

He knew my name and said he was from BMA, sounded like a guy with an accent. He started asking about vaccinations and then switched to questions about life insurance. When I said we had insurance, he wanted to know who with, so I asked why he needed that info. He said he was checking medical records. Got a call this morning from someone claiming to be with the GMC (General Medical Council) chatin' about my upcoming Covid jab. I hung up right away cos I know the GMC wouldn’t be phoning folks directly about vaccinations - that's usually sorted by your GP and besides, the GMC's got more important stuff to do! Heard that these scammers offer you an early jab if you pay up and just hand over your bank details!!! Total scam alert. Also, they called me 'Liz' which would be odd for a medical body, my full name’s Elizabeth. Stay cautious with this one!

A scammer with an obvious foreign accent said they were from citizens advice but couldn’t even say my name right. I ended the call as soon as they asked how I was - who really cares about that in a scam call? They must have nothing better to do and no legit reason to be ringing. I could hear others in the background repeating the same lines to other folks. It’s a joke how gullible some people are. I’ve decided to buy a whistle and every time these lot ring me, it’s coming out loud and clear, probably hurting their ears! Lol 😆
