I received a rather alarming call from someone who claimed to represent a cyber crime unit. This individual stated that I had fallen prey to some nefarious online activity and insisted that I go online so he could access my device to 'fix' the situation and, by the way, recover my finances. When I challenged his legitimacy, he quickly turned hostile and started throwing threats my way. I decided to cut the conversation short and hung up. Before I knew it, he rang back and left me a rather sinister voicemail, ominously vowing to 'make my life a misery'. It's evident this fellow is nothing more than a scammer.

I got a call on my mobile from someone claiming to be an officer looking into a fraud case from 2004. He said I was scammed out of £1500, but I told him I've never even heard of it. He kept questioning me about it, so I asked for the name of his organisation. As soon as I asked, he just ended the call straight away.
