This guy also hit me up on a dating platform, claiming he was some kind of marine. Honestly, something just felt off about everything he said. After just one day of talking, he was already insisting I was "the one" and told me to delete the app right away. When I asked if we could do a video call, he sent me a ridiculously long message explaining why he couldn’t. That really raised red flags for me. Then, searching around, I spotted here that he’s likely gonna start asking for cash soon. Definitely steer clear!

Met a bloke on a dating site claiming to be in the US Army, but he also said he’s British and living in Hackney. He sent some photos and said he’s actually in West Africa to try and make it sound legit. The story didn’t add up at all though, and pretty fast, he asked me for cash. When I challenged him about it, he got really nasty. Honestly, watch out for this sort of scam, don’t get caught out!
