My elderly neighbour got targeted by someone wanting to sell pricey art pieces. The person was really persistent and even mailed glossy flyers that looked like they were from a proper company. I looked it up online and found out the business isn’t operating anymore. Plus, the stamps they used were outdated and the letter itself was badly written. Felt off to me.

The guy never told me his name and got really dodgy when I asked where he was ringing from. He wanted to send me some kind of art catalogue and kept asking for my address. I told him to take me off whatever list he had, but he wouldn’t accept no for an answer, so I had to just hang up. To make it worse, he had the nerve to ring me right back after I’d ended the call.
