Called by some credit investigation department. When I tried to end the call, the bloke wouldn’t hang up and even started questioning why I was being polite or not. So, I muted him and just let the call run in the background, letting them waste their own minutes! :)

Got a call from this suspicious credit check place, sounded like they were chatting from some random street corner. Pretty sure if you try calling back, it just takes you to some expensive premium number. They actually called me yesterday too but with a different phone number. Instantly blocked them.

Got a call from this number earlier, some bloke claiming to be from the national credit agency. He said they wanted me to sort out a payment plan for a debt of £5000. I couldn’t help but laugh, it sounded so bogus, especially at 6:45 in the evening! I asked where he even found my number and he awkwardly said he’d update their system to show I don’t owe anything. What a load of rubbish... honestly, watch out for these scams and don’t get caught!

I just got a call from someone claiming to be from Citizens Advice, saying I owed money. After thinking for a moment, I told the woman with an Asian accent that CAB doesn’t usually phone people like this, and right after I said that, she cut the call. Looks like a scam to me. some folks might pick up these calls, let them talk all their nonsense. never give out your real name or where you live, toss them some fake info instead.. then flip it on them and say you’re from the fraud squad and their number’s been traced to your place.. haha, as soon as you say that, they’re usually off the line quick enough.. used to get tons of these calls but now it’s only a few now and then.. yeah, it’s pretty irritating and stressful but I just find it hilarious these days.. hahaha

I keep getting calls from these folks using loads of different numbers. Every time I block one, another one pops up straight away. I've picked up a couple times and told them to stop ringing me and that I'd report them, but they just don’t seem bothered at all.

Caller had an Asian accent and started by giving his name and the company he was calling for. He asked if I was paying monthly instalments on something. I told him to identify himself and explain why he was ringing. He said he already had. When I asked him again, he mentioned something about collecting a debt, or something similar, but was mainly checking if I was handing over regular payments. I kept asking what exactly he wanted, but when I wouldn’t share any details, he started talking about the firm again. I just told him to take a hike and hang up on him!

this guy with an asian accent was proper rude and i could hardly understand him. i asked him to take me off their list and stop calling coz i was at work and it could cause me issues. instead of listening, he started shouting at me! i told him to chill and mind his manners since he was the one interrupting me at work on my own phone. then he just hung up on me. daft behaviour.

Got a call from this number earlier. The woman said she was from Citizen Debt Agency, mentioning they got some info from a credit agency about a debt I supposedly owe. Told her I didn’t owe anything at all. She just said bye and ended the call. I’ve blocked the number now.

Some folks might pick up these calls, but i reckon just let them run their nonsense. Never confirm your name or address - chuck in some made-up info instead. Then, flip it on them and say you’re with the fraud squad and their number’s been traced back to them...lol. As soon as you mention fraud, they usually bolt. I used to get tonnes of these calls, but now it’s just the odd one or two. Sure, it's annoying and stressful, but honestly, now I find it pretty funny haha.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent, sounded like he was working in some call centre. When I asked him why they were calling and how they got my number, he just wouldn’t explain and ended up calling me a dumb woman before slamming the phone down. Honestly, if a number looks dodgy or you don’t know it, best just ignore it. Proper rude man, was really nasty!
