They can be such a nuisance. I’ve had them call me two times already today, but I just ignored the calls. Seriously, I’d tell everyone not to pick up unless you know the number for sure. Even then, it’s probably a scam. I’m a pensioner myself and always warn other older people to be extra careful - check the number before you bother answering, and if it looks strange, just block it. If by chance you do pick up, don’t share any personal info, just hang up straight away.

Most likely oh polly insurance. I clearly asked them when I signed up to just email me and not call, but they don't listen and keep ringing me like 4 times daily. I block their numbers but they just use new ones to call again.

So this Smart Cover life insurance firm entered my info on Oh Polly, then called me from an 01472 number. Even when I said I was at work, they just kept going. They called me two more times the next day so I blocked them. Then they rang from 01932, I answered, told them to quit, and blocked again. Now they’ve started calling me from this mobile number!

Some bloke rang me claiming to be from the Inland Revenue saying I was being looked into for tax dodging. He said if I didn't play ball, the cops would be sent round to nick me. I told him he was talking absolute nonsense, which made him pretty mad and he started threatening me with jail. I just told him where to shove it and ended the call. Haha.

@ bloke about life insurance. Told me everything had to be sorted via phone. Had to accept terms and conditions right then and there, no paperwork or anything. When I told him I was waiting for the call but not ready to decide without checking things properly, he just said “that’s all I can do for you, cheers” and cut off really sharp once he realised I wasn’t going to pay up.
