Got a call around 6.15pm tonight from a woman saying she was ringing from NHS HQ in Richmond, London. She said they were updating their records and started asking how many folks live at my place and if any of us have life insurance, plus which company it’s through. She claimed NHS was planning to take legal action against insurers who won’t cover Covid deaths. I kept the chat going as long as I could without giving any info - figured if I kept her busy, she wasn’t conning someone else. She had a strong foreign accent and was super pushy. After a while, I kept asking why she’d be calling from a mobile if she was really NHS HQ, not their office phone? No landlines at NHS? :D She got pretty annoyed with me for asking too many questions. In the end, she hung up when she saw I wasn’t falling for it. Seriously, watch out and don’t get caught in these scams!
