This bloke said he was from the City Council and needed to check the house for damp and faulty wiring. I’ve lived here for 30 years, so if there was any issue I’d have surely contacted them myself. I said I'd call the council to verify the inspection first. Suddenly he got all flustered, saying the council wouldn't have any record of his visit. The card he gave me to reschedule only had his mobile number on it. Beware of this con artist. Don’t let them inside your home. He also spoke with a foreign accent, definitely not local.
